Cla-Val Smart Water

Overview

Pressure Optimization is one of the key parameters that allow water distribution systems to operate at peak performance and one of the most reliable ways to save water.  Too little pressure renders a system incapable of supplying the needs of customers and compromises water quality. In the worst-case scenario, not having enough pressure hampers the ability to deliver adequate flow for firefighting. Conversely, too much pressure leaves a system vulnerable to pipe breaks and background leakage.

Cla-Val Water Savings Valves are the ideal solution to effectively optimize water distribution pipeline pressure to achieve water savings.

ECO 90-35 Dual Stage Pressure Reducing Valve

eco 90The CLA-VAL ECO 90-35 is a double stage pressure reducing CLA-VAL valve.

The CLA-VAL ECO 90-35 is designed to select, according to a definite time range as well as a preset flow value, the stage of regulation for the downstream pressure.

Typically the high pressure stage is selected when the consumption is high and vice versa.

In case of fire demands the electronic controller e-Smart/L1 immediately selects the highest pressure stage in order to guarantee the appropriate fire protection flows.

PCM 40-01 Electronic Actuated Rate of Flow Control Valve

pcm 40The Cla-Val Model PCM 40-01 Electronic Actuated Rate of Flow Control Valve combines the precise control of field proven Cla-Val hydraulic pilots and simple remote valve control.  The Model PCM 40-01 valve controls flow by limiting flow to a preselected maximum rate (within a four to one ratio), regardless of changing line pressure. Using the Cla-Val Model CDHS-34 actuated pilot control.

The valve is designed to be used with supervisor control systems (SCADA), having an isolated remote analog set-point (4-20 mA) output. Additional pilot controls, hydraulic and/or electronic, can be easily added to perform multiple control functions to fit exact system requirements.

PCM 50-01 Electronic Actuated Rate of Flow Control Valve

pcm 50The Cla-Val Model PCM 50-01 Electronic Actuated Pressure Sustaining Control Valve combines precise control of field proven Cla-Val hydraulic pilots and simple, remote valve control.  The Model PCM50-01 is a hydraulically operated, pilot controlled, modulating valve designed to maintain constant upstream pressure within close limits. This valve can be used for pressure sustaining, back pressure or unloading functions in a by-pass system.  The valve uses a CRL-34 pilot control, consisting of a hydraulic pilot and integral controller, that accepts a remote set-point command input and makes set-point adjustments to the pilot.

The valve is designed to be used with supervisor control systems (SCADA), having an isolated remote analog set-point (4-20 mA) output. Additional pilot controls, hydraulic and/or electronic, can be easily added to perform multiple control functions to fit exact system requirements.

PCM 90-01 Electronic Actuated Rate of Flow Control Valve

pcm 90The Cla-Val Model PCM 90-01 Electronic Actuated Pressure Reducing Control Valve combines precise control of field proven Cla-Val hydraulic pilots and simple, remote valve control.  The Cla-Val PCM 90-01 Pressure Reducing Valve automatically reduces a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower downstream pressure regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure.

This valve is an accurate, pilot-operated regulator capable of holding downstream pressure to a pre-determined limit.  The valve uses a CRD-34 pilot control, consisting of a hydraulic pilot and integral controller that accepts a remote set-point command input and makes set-point adjustments to the pilot.

98-07 Pressure Management Control Valve

98The CLA-VAL 98-07 is a fully adjustable control valve which automatically changes the outlet pressure from a high setting during high flow conditions to a low setting during low flow conditions. The patent pending all-hydraulic operation assures smooth ramping between the set-points as the flow changes.

The CLA-VAL 98-07 optimizes the system pressure to reduce costly system leakage losses and pipe bursts.

D22 Valve Controller

d22The Cla-Val valve controllers are designed to enable remote control of electronic valves in water plant or distribution systems. They can also serve as an interface between a SCADA system and other devices installed on or around the valve (such as the Cla-Val e-FlowMeter).

Power Generators

ClaVal Power Generators use the hydraulic energy in fluid distribution system piping to generate power. The IP and MP power generators are suitable for retrofitting to an existing Cla-Val Control Valve or can be specified on a new valve.

These innovative power generation devices are ideal for isolated locations and confined spaces where tying into the local power grid is either not possible or prohibitive in cost.

Depending on the model, the units can generate enough power to operate onsite equipment such as electronic control valves, communications equipment or information capturing devices such as the Cla-Val e-FlowMeter.
